Oh, Peaches

I'm sick. I spent three hours on work placement today for TAFE before deciding to come home. So, I thought to myself, why don't I make a blog? I can put awesome things on it and dribble lots of uninteresting shit about my life. So here goes.

Did you know green tea is meant to be good for your gums?

4. Combine the sugar, flour and cocoa powder in a bowl. Add chocolate mixture and eggs and stir until just combined. Pour into prepared pan. Spoon peanut butter over brownie mixture and use a knife to create swirls.

5. Bake in oven for 35-40 minutes or until crumbs cling to a skewer inserted into the centre. Set aside to cool completely. Cut into slices to serve.

Joanna Newsom - Sprout and the Bean

I slept all day
awoke with distaste
and I railed,
and I raved

That the difference between
the sprout and the bean
is a golden ring,
it is a twisted string.
And you can ask the counsellor;
you can ask the king;
and they'll say the same thing;
and it's a funny thing:

Should we go outside?
Should we go outside?
Should we break some bread?
Are y'interested?

And as I said,
I slept as though dead
dreaming seamless dreams of lead.

Tips For A "Better Life"

1. Take a 10-30 minute walk every day. And while you walk, smile. It is the ultimate anti-depressant.
2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day. Buy a lock if you have to...
3. When you wake up in the morning complete the following statement, "My purpose is__________today".
4. Eat more foods that grown on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.
5. Try to make at least three people smile each day.
6. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a college kid with a maxed out charge card.
7. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.
8. Life it too short to waste time hating anyone.
9. Don't take yourself too seriously. No one else does.
10. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
11. Make peace with your past so it will not spoil the present.
12. Do not compare your life to others'. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
13. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
14. Frame every so-called disaster with these words, "In five years, will this matter?"
15. What other people think of you is none of your business.
16. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
17. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
18. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch.
19. Drink green tea and plenty of water. Eat blueberries, wild Alaskan salmon, broccoli, almonds and walnuts.
20. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip, issues of the past, negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.
